ASSIST Ministries (Aid to Special Saints in Strategic Times,) was founded some 25 years ago by international author, journalist and broadcaster, Dan Wooding, along with Norma, his wife of 50 years. The ASSIST News Service followed some five years later and both are based in Lake Forest, California.

Besides, his work with ASSIST, Dan Wooding hosts the weekly “Front Page Radio” show on the KWVE Radio Network (www.kwve.com), and also carried on other U.S. stations as well as in Belize and the UK. Furthermore, he hosts “His Channel Live” -- www.hischannel.com -- a one hour Internet interview program that is carried in some 192 countries around the world.

The couple has two sons: Andrew, the author some eight books, lives in Sheffield, England, and works with Church Army, and Peter, the director of ASSIST Europe, and a well-known television reporter and videographer based in Buckley, North Wales. Dan and Norma have six grandchildren all living in the UK.

ASSIST also has two affiliated, but independent, offices in Canada (ASSIST Canada) and ASSIST Europe, in the United Kingdom.

Dan Wooding is the President of ASSIST, and Norma is a board member. They are assisted with an excellent board of directors who oversee the ministry and are listed below:

Treasurer, Dr. Jack Folmar, is an ear, nose and throat specialist and a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has his office in Westminster, California.

Secretary, Reverend Brian Nixon, a writer, musician, and family man, who oversees Connection Communications, including media and publishing, at Calvary Chapel Albuquerque, New Mexico (www.calvaryabq.org .)

Board member, Dr. James Krames, is Dean of the Tyndale School of Global Leadership and a respected Bible scholar and inventor based in Eagle Point, Oregon.

Board member, Stuart Bennett, former Director of Special Projects for CBN International is a film producer/director and screenwriter who trained at the BBC in London. Stuart now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife, Martha.
